…that was also a Friday?

Marc at work16 Jun 2017 6:07 a.m. PST

Well, I am having my birthday at a client down in Portsmouth. But thanks for asking…

But tomorrow

I am painting Naps with my brother – a lovely day of chatting, silliness and painting of Naps – what more could a man want close to his birthday?

Wargamorium16 Jun 2017 6:10 a.m. PST

Napoleonic wargaming tonight.

Trying out 'Et Sans Résultat' rules.

Looking forward to it.

I'll watch Waterloo tonight. In 2015 I set up all three days

Winston Smith16 Jun 2017 6:21 a.m. PST

I think I'll have pizza and wings tonight. They didn't make a big fuss about the anniversaries on the News, so it slipped my mind.

Footslogger16 Jun 2017 6:28 a.m. PST

Err… by having a WW2 tank battle at the youth club tonight.

skinkmasterreturns16 Jun 2017 6:32 a.m. PST

By going down the road and stealing a pig.I'll smuggle it back in a knapsack.

jdpintex16 Jun 2017 10:31 a.m. PST

Playing John Tiller's Waterloo on the Computer.

DeRuyter16 Jun 2017 11:02 a.m. PST

Play some Scourge of War Quatre Bras/Waterloo on the computer. (Don't have Tiller's installed atm). Look through photos/videos from 2015 events.

Hopefully read Wargamorium's AAR of his play though of the 'Et Sans Résultat' rules!

Tomorrow I'll celebrate both Waterloo and my birthday with a game of General d'Armee and a BBQ + fine wine and Kentucky bourbon to finish!

The local group pretty much burned out on Napoleonic's after 4 weeks (just Fridays) of Waterloo using CLS back in 2015. +6 weeks of practice.

Marc at work18 Jun 2017 1:21 a.m. PST

Paul. Happy birthday to your brother. The best birthdays are on a Napoleonic battle anniversary, and mine is the last ever French victory.

Finished off some Bavarians, some Scottish and started some French light infantry. So a good days painting

The answer is two and half pints of Farmer's Blonde in the Village pub, where it is hotter than Thailand today.

God bless the Duke and his lads and that crazy Prussian old boy who acted so irresponsibly, insanely, any phrase you choose for an act of sheer lunacy…risking his entire army on the throw of a dice.

and passes into legend because it worked……….

Tonight I am watching the BluRay version of Waterloo, rereleased last week, with the 4 hour version that no one could find.

Now where did I put it? I just know it was there last night…..

Marcel180918 Jun 2017 8:17 a.m. PST

JUst came back from a walk across part of the battlefield,, very bright and syunny, difficult to imagine the carnage and chaos of 202 years ago.

Lambert Supporting Member of TMP18 Jun 2017 12:17 p.m. PST

Deadhead, I read you had the 4-hour version of the film and for a split second I believed you…

Personal logo deadhead Supporting Member of TMP18 Jun 2017 1:52 p.m. PST

Send me your bank details and I will post it to you…honestly.

4hour, BluRay quality. You get the Hougoumont gate closure, Ewart takes the eagle, Plancenoit, the lot….

My link takes you to Nigeria but your details are totally safe I promise you…..

Weep…sob….OK, now I have guilt..apologies

Marc at work19 Jun 2017 10:06 a.m. PST

LoL – oh to see some Plancenoit action

Lambert Supporting Member of TMP19 Jun 2017 2:16 p.m. PST

Wonderful elation then crushing disappointment, all within half a second. No need for apologies, I hadn't realised TMP could be such an emotional rollercoaster.
