I've completed a recent acquisition of an 1/144 balloon kit for use with my Wings of Glory collection. I purchased this from the Reduced Aircraft Factory shop on Shapeways. Daryl does good work and this balloon was no exception. A mainstay of the Italian late war kite balloon units, it's a nice change from the typical Caquot and Parseval-Siegsfeld balloons produced for Wings of War and covered in the boxed set Burning Drachens. The kit was printed in Black Strong and Flexible and primed with a couple of coats of Gesso. I really like the combination of BSF and Gesso it does seem to minimize the prep time required to get model ready for painting.
as always… more pictures can be found on my blog link |
