I've completed a recent acquisition of an 1/144 balloon kit for use with my Wings of Glory collection.

I purchased this from the Reduced Aircraft Factory shop on Shapeways. Daryl does good work and this balloon was no exception. A mainstay of the Italian late war kite balloon units, it's a nice change from the typical Caquot and Parseval-Siegsfeld balloons produced for Wings of War and covered in the boxed set Burning Drachens.

The kit was printed in Black Strong and Flexible and primed with a couple of coats of Gesso. I really like the combination of BSF and Gesso it does seem to minimize the prep time required to get model ready for painting.

Great looking … I really like the Litko stand with the model.
