…patrolling the streets of Britain to help the German forces and seek a union between Britain and Germany

Is that accurate and true? Enlighten me someone, please!

No. Many BU men fought in the Armed Forces against the Axis before and after internment. Mosley and the BU were patriots, not traitors. In the event of an invasion, the BU and Mosley would have fought against the invaders.

Grouos like Arbold Leese's Imperial Fascist League, on the other hand…!

Excellent source of correctly dressed BU men for A Very British Civil War though!

But what would Mosley's sexy wife and sister in law done….

From his internment cell, Mosley said that he would have fought against a German invasion. But then he would say that, wouldn't he ?

'Patriots'? Full of anti-Semites, street thugs and Lord Hawhaw was a member. No time for democracy and they were not even original took their name and organisation from Mussolini's Blackshirts,

Tried to march on the Jewish neighbourhoods of the East end of London and were defeated at what they were supposed to be good at – streetfighting.

PMC31712 Jun 2017 6:24 a.m. PST

Jedburgh – the Battle of Cable St was largely fought between the police and protestors; the BU march had dispersed and gone home at the urging of the police prior to the riot.

Yes, the BU were anti-Semitic (although not initially – 'Kid' Lewis, Mosley's head of security and a champion boxer, was Jewish, for example), and, yes, Lord Haw-Haw was a member – but the party itself was a nationalist, pro-Empire, patriotic party. See again the note that many members of the BU – both men and women – were in uniform and fought or were involved in the war effort both before and after internment.

So. I repeat. The BUF would be fighting against an invasion, not alongside it – any quisling government would be more likely to be formed from groups like Arnold Leese's Imperial Fascist League (who, incidentally, both described Mosley's BU as a 'Jewish plot' and is the direct antecedent of the BNP).

Gentlebeings, is this the appropriate venue for rehashing 1930's politics? Note that Warlord Games have made a nice lot of figures for the VBCW, and leave what would have happened if--in a political sense--to Harry Turtledove, who gets paid for it.

Whatever Churchill's sympathies for Italian Fascism were, real or imagined, it did not seem to distract him from his patriotic duty in defeating that political creed. Another example of the right man for the job.

I do not condone Mosley's political policies but I would like to see evidence that he would have 'helped' an invading German force and 'seek a union between Britain and Germany'. I don't think the evidence exists so the Warlords Games wording is incorrect. The present and future generations will judge Mosley without this falsehood of impugning his honour by describing him as a traitor, in all but name. That serves no useful purpose and is wrong.

I do note that these attractive miniatures are produced to compliment the 'what if' scenario Operation Sealion, and the whimsical VBCW. What if the game producers were more careful and accurate when they ascribe a traitorous role to an actual individual, now deceased but who still has living relatives?
