I'm making some painting tests with old miniatures in order to improve my painting techniches. Today I've finished two british napoleonic fusiliers in 28mm. I don't remember from which brand they are. JFO Miniature Painting

They look great. If I may make a suggestion (and I'm no expert so feel free to ignore me) the water bottles are very blue, a slightly lighter shade is probably more accurate, and the bag could be doing with a beige white rather than the same white as the trousers. They're painted very well, and you did say it's a test, so hope you don't mind the comment. |

I agree with HappyHiker..just 'stripe'the water bottles with a lighter blue-grey, giving the impression of slatted wood, and as the bags were a sort of canvas, I first painted with LifecolorIsraeli Sand (I love that shade, you can use it for so many things!), highlighted with a mix of the same, and White, or Lifecolor French SandGrey. But youve made a goood effrt, just the same! Hope our comments are well-received, just trying to help! |
