Hello
after a recent purchase of cheap diecast models i have to reorganise my lead/plastic mountain (vehicles)..i play with Rapid Fire..i have quite a few ready made scenarios but i 'll really apreciate your quick suggestions about the most practical number of vehicles i should keep of those types so maybe i could swap or sell something that i'll not frequently need:
A) M20 Armoured car
B) DUKW amphibian truck:
C) Panhard 178 Armoured Car
D) Char B1 Bis
E) 25 Pdr Gun plus Quad Tractor (to use in NW Europe from Normandy up to the end)
F) 25 Pdr Gun plus Quad Tractor (Western Desert and East Africa)
G) Wespe SP gun
H) ISU 155
I) ZiS-6 Katyusha Rocket Launcher

sorry for my lazyness and many thanks in advance for your kind answers

Here's my opinion. Take it for what it's worth:

M20 1 or 2
Dukw: 3-4
Pahhard: 1-2
Char B1: 3-4
25lbr 2 each
Wespe, ISU155, Katyusha 0

thanks Rich..i appreciate, for my needs, your minimalist approach

It depends on what you want to use.

In my case, with your list, I have the following:

M20 – 1 as recon with my M-10 TD company
DUKW – 2 just because that's what I have.
Char B1 – 5, however, only two table ready and I plan to build one of the others as German.
25 Pdr – two in one battery. In RF II it list 3 batteries of two each for a British Infantry Brigade.
ISU 155 – 3 or 4 great for late war.
Katyusha – 1 only – in RF II main rules one is included in the Russian Tank Brigade.

Thanks VC Carter…
DUKW is one of my favourite toy..but what to do with it in Rapid Fire therms…i should have, counting some Airfix models, quite a few..but is it useful for a tabletop scenario or it's very special vehicle..not only an amphibian trch to carry a full btg..i don't have the RF supplement for Normandy to check…maybe during pacific landing full Btg could be ransported , always in RF, by about 4 DUKW?
about 25 PDR you mean 6 model guns to support a brigade of 3 RF btgs?..in this case i'll keep many of them

Agree with the above – the nice thing about the Panhards is that if you paint 'em relatively neutral you can use them for both sides

It is six models for the 25's. That said, I only have 2 in one battery and even that may be a stretch on the table. But, if you already have the models…
