My mother is an Afghanistan veteran, and I have read books on most major battles of the war, with my favourite being Takur Ghar. I'm looking currently for a book on the battle of Wanat. I tried Mark Bowden's The Three Battles of Wanat and it was terrible. It was hardly even about the battle. Are there any good book length treatments of it out there? |
