Napoleon has regained the initiative.

1st Prussian corps in the north, and 4th Prussian corps in the south have both been defeated and forced to retreat. This leaves 2nd and 3rd Prussian corps isolated at Wolfsburg. The Prussian army is also short of supplies, and must hold Wolfsburg in order to resupply.

Napoleon orders 1st corps to attack from the south and 3rd corps from the west. It would have been much better for 1st corps to join 3rd corps and then attack, but he is worried that Blucher will retreat before they can do so.

The resulting battle made for an interesting wargame. 2nd Prussian corps started the game on the right of the table, with 3rd French corps on the left. So there was an empty "no man's land" square between them. 1st French corps would arrive bottom right at the start of move one. Again there would be a square between them. However 3rd Prussian corps would arrive top right at the start of move 4.

There is no problem with reinforcements arriving during a battle, providing that there is a square between them and the nearest enemy corps. If not the new corps has a great advantage if they arrive on the flank of the battle with no room for the enemy to react.

In an attempt to avoid this we moved the table to the left once both French corps were engaged. This ensured that the fighting would take place in the centre of the table, and that three new squares would be added on the right. This would allow the French to extend their right, and the Prussians to arrive on the new top right square.

In fact the Prussian commander (Jan) opted to arrive behind the town in the new top centre!

The French won the battle and captured Wolfsburg. Both sides suffered heavy casualties, though the Prussians had more than the French. However most of the French casualties were in the guard infantry.

Both armies are now very short of supplies, and both will have to pause to regroup and resupply. This will allow the Prussians to retreat east and concentrate for a final stand.
