Work is taking me to Montreal later this summer. I wondered if there were any good wargames shops to visit while there?

Cheers,
Dave

I've only ever ordered from them online, but Le Valet d'Coeur has always been great. Probably more board and RPG oriented though, but they do seem to have a lot of GMT board wargames at least.

And it's right next to the Mont Royal Metro station. Incredible game selection (no minis), but worth seeing anyway.

This place, on Decarie Blvd., isn't a war game shop but a traditional hobby shop catering to plastic models and RC stuff. But it is simply HUGE, spread over two floors. It is very strong on 1/72 scale figures and vehicles (they must have everything currently in production from anywhere), and has one entire floor devoted to model railroad stuff in all scales, including N and HO, and mounds of terrain making material. Their paint selection tends to be excellent too, including hard-to-get Humbrol stuff. If you're keen, allow a couple of hours. It really is that big.

Udisco is worth a visit and as Fred says, you need a lot of time to look around.

Gamer's Vault is closed permanently. I would recommend checking out Le Grimoire, as it's the best wargaming store I've visited. For other hobby stores I have found that Passe-Temps Ted out west of the city has a good selection of paints and supplies (with some historical and games workshop models). Also out there is Hobby Jonction Express which has historical models and model trains mainly, but I have got some supplies for terrain there.
