Looking forward to this one. Will be nice to have more options for the Star Viper. |

So basically it is repackaging two ships that already were released. |

All of their "Aces" packs have 2 previously released models with lots of upgrades for them. They have all been good additions. The Star Viper and especially the Khirakz were obsolete and behind the power curve when they were first released. The upgrades in this kit bring them up from behind and looks like they will even function well in the current state of the power-creep. Time to start tinkering with flight lists…. |

I love these packs in that they are opportunities to re-balance the point costs without resorting to 'errata'. By giving us titles, modifications, and refits, they can jigger the costs a bit to keep almost all of these ships competitive. But, given the fact I've never done tournament play with X-Wing (did it with Star Trek Attack Wing and gave it up), I'm not too hung up on the point-to-point comparisons being spot-on. |

I do weekly casual X-Wing Tournaments. I fly the Star Viper ace pilots once in awhile because they're fun. The Khirakz is just [laser] cannon-fodder. |
