Hi, I'm at a loss. I have Ambush Valley. That rule set is good for about three squads a side. I have a 5' x 6' table full of jungle terrain for 28mm Vietnam. I'm working on a 1:1 28mm platoon of ARVN Rangers with 4 28mm M113s. I have another 1:1 28mm platoon of Vietnam US Marines with two 28mm CH46 Sea Knight Helicopters (they're pre-painted). For enemies, I have an entire 1:1 28mm company of Viet Cong infantry. Here's my problem, I have too much stuff for my poor gaming table. I don't see myself fielding an entire 1:1 28mm Company of Viet Cong. Neither do I see myself fielding all the Free World forces. Did I also mention I have civilians to paint, too. Ugh. What was I thinking? I have enough stuff to literally do a 1:1 scale Tet Offensive. Do you 28mm Modern Wargamers have any recommendations of rule sets concerning the Vietnam War besides Ambush Valley? Thanks, Regards, Blake |

I have been using Charlie Don't Surf (CDS). Its works well in 28mm. I have a 12 by 6 table and at least two platoons a side with Helicopters etc. I will have more as I am slowly working my way through the lead pile. |

👍🏼 CDS I've improvised RPG elements into my Vietnam games. Often based on my last read.😜 |

I use a slight modification to the AH game Firepower to do Vietnam |

Another vote for Charlie Don't Surf. Great rules and a fun game! |

I really like Charlie Company, where each player handles a NCO (or LT) and a squad. |

Charlie Don't Surf is a great set of rules for company sized engagements. For smaller engagements there is an unofficial Vietnam variant for Chain of Command. Alternately, you might want to take a look at FNG by TwoHour Wargames. BWW |
