Hi all, I'm interested in opinions and photos that anyone may have in regards to mixing these lines. I already have OG, but have been tempted by some of the Pendraken offerings I have seen. I mostly collect Prussians, but am considering Hanoverians as my next force, and maybe some Hessians. Thanks in advance! |

Do you keep the Old Glory on the strips? If so,prepare for some fiddly work,if you want to have the same troop density with Pendraken. I've bugged Russ for years about expanding the SYW line. Last time (Cold Wars), his response was "they all look the same anyway!". I notice that doesn't keep him from doing it with Blue Moon. Why's that,Russ? Huh? Huh? BTW, I don't have any SYW (still waiting on Russ,as above), but my WSS and AWI mix OK. Try a TMP search for 10mm SYW. There are some pics on various threads, also links to blogs you can search through. |

I don't mind the strips. It's a nice excuse to hide minor painting mistakes, Haha! I'm mostly a fan of the proportions of the OG figures, and I've never seen any Pendraken SYW in person. The diversity of poses is what attracts me to them, allowing for more "animation" in my units. Thanks for the reply! |

Go over to the PENDRAKEN site, lots of painted SYW stuff there. |

I really like the strips for 10mm figures. For me 10mm is mostly dry brushing, so the strips make for easy painting. I find the 10mm figures fiddly to handle without mounting on something else first. Then after you paint them, they have to be removed from the popsicle stick, bottle cap, or whatever, and invariably I'll break one off at the ankles during the process. |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I have seen plenty of photos of the Pendraken's, but if someone can point me to a specific comparison of the SYW line with Old Glory? |
