What was the facing colour of this regiment? They seem to have been called 'The Black Horse'(which I presume was from the colour of their facings)and are listed as the 8th Horse in some publications, but they appear to be the forerunner of the 7th DG whose facings are yellow. Did they change over time? Were they disbanded and re-formed? Anyone any suggestions? Thanks!
