West Sussex library services have just launched a new oral military history project called "Military Voices". Lots of good anecdotes and stories, and not just WW1 & WW2.

In America, the University of Tennessee has a department called War and Society, iirc, which contains a massive number of recordings as part of the oral history project. All are interviews with veterans.

Good to see oral history projects in both the USA and Britain.

The beauty of this is that the "best bits" are available free on-line.
