LOl. I just realized there is a sucker born every minute. Why on earth would anyone buy those pieces of crap. Also any class of ships named Freedom is either being built by a tyrant and are space dreadnoughts or someone trying to suck up to congress. |
Cyrus the Great | 22 May 2017 7:13 p.m. PST |
Well that accounts for 6 billion with another 103 billion to go. |
Cacique Caribe | 22 May 2017 7:41 p.m. PST |
Are they going to change the name from Freedom-Class to something else? :) Dan |
BigDan | 22 May 2017 9:34 p.m. PST |
Jeezuz, cant they just take 6 of ours! |
SouthernPhantom | 22 May 2017 9:35 p.m. PST |
I'd happily pay the Saudis to take the things. At least they're not a blue-water navy; the mechanical failures won't leave them too far from home. |
Wargamer Blue | 22 May 2017 10:53 p.m. PST |
The Saudis will probably pass them onto ISIS. And no-one will be the wiser. |

nations clearly implicated in supporting terrorism, and acting against human rights should be in a list of countries subjected to an embargo on arms exports….are those ineducated satraps tribesmen chiefs who even pretend to be called princes..better than leaders , who at least had a political vision, like those of Zimbabwe, Burma, N. Korea ecc…to receive a better treatmnet? |
rustymusket | 23 May 2017 4:46 a.m. PST |
Now, has the world changed, really? |
zoneofcontrol | 23 May 2017 5:33 a.m. PST |
The big question is how are we going to get them there?!? They'll need an awful long tow cable. |

Selling high tech arms to the Saudis is like selling a Ferrari to a 95 year old man. |
Gunfreak | 23 May 2017 7:14 a.m. PST |
Mabye sell them some some cardboard boxes with W78 Nuclear bomb written on the side and mabye sell them the Broklin brigde while your at it. |

The word Littoral "littorally" (excuse the pun) implies operating near the shores. You're not going to venture very far out to sea with them. It makes sense for the Saudis. The LCS is more than adequate for dealing with the small speedboats of the Iranian navy. |
PrivateSnafu | 23 May 2017 9:48 a.m. PST |
No it's more like selling a Ferrari to a 16 year old. |
doug redshirt | 23 May 2017 10:34 a.m. PST |
I don't know. Most of those speedboats are probably more heavily armed and they can move under their power. |
Cacique Caribe | 23 May 2017 9:56 p.m. PST |
So who would man those ships? Saudis really? Or would the Saudis be just the officers? Dan |
15mm and 28mm Fanatik | 24 May 2017 7:28 a.m. PST |
The Saudis are the "Orks" and the Pakistanis are "Gretchin." |
Cacique Caribe | 24 May 2017 7:31 a.m. PST |
I had a feeling the Pakistanis would figure heavily there. Dan |
cosmicbank | 25 May 2017 1:34 a.m. PST |
I am sure the ships will serve the Saudi Navy well and I am happy they are spending that oil money, I only hope they buy more high quiality weapons to help with the fight againist…. OK I can't do this any more |
Cacique Caribe | 25 May 2017 4:41 a.m. PST |
Lol. I was wondering if you were having a stroke or something. Dan PS. Are the Saudi captains going to have their customary gold-plated toilet seats on those boats? :)

"Lol. I was wondering if you were having a stroke or something." Watching the News will do that |

Yeah, my doc has said that my blood pressure is much better now that I don't watch the news at dinner every night. |
