Amazing. I'd love to see that museum some day. For what it's worth, the Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry (here in Austin, Texas) also has a Hetzer tank destroyer. It runs too! If I'm not mistaken, very few still exist. Jeff |

There are loads of shops in Bastogne selling WW2 memorabilia. Apparently the Germans left thousands of tons of weaponry behind when they left, an the I guess they have been selling it off ever since. One of the nice stories was that the US army gave every household in Bastogne a full set of bedding to replace the sheets which the inhabitants had provided to the troops for snow camouflage. |

Due to its large production run, as well as the Swiss producing a version, the G-13, after the war a fair number of Hetzers still exist. The Swiss operated theirs up until 1970. PDF link |

I would love to visit Bastogne someday. Along with Normandy, it is my must see WW2 battlefield. I would also love to see Belleau Wood, Somme, and Waterloo which all in the same neighbourhood. |
