Thanks for an excellent review. Being from the same author, my question would be, "Are these same mechanisms used in his Napoleonic rules?" I'll check your site for a review of GdB.

edit: I did not see that you had gotten around to GdB on your "Holy Grail" test. Soon hopefully. I enjoy Carnage & Glory for both my ACW and Nap games but not it's not for everyone. I'm looking for a good substitute.

Thanks Dave and David……David, I'm waiting for General d'Armee to arrive….both of these are different animals from GdB…..totally different command and control systems….plus the figure counting is gone, which I like a lot. These rules play much smoother and allow for larger games than GdB or Guns at Gettysburg..

I also am a huge fan of Carnage and Glory….for multi-player games, those are my favorite rules.
