Hello again all, Finally painted my 15mm GZG Lawmen. Great minis , full of character. I did some head swaps & Milliput hats to add variety. The Matchbox toy cars were a perfect choice & a steal at 2.75€ each. They were perfect painted as they were but I decided to add brown & black washes, matt varnish to windows & damage. Don't ask me where or when I got that Aardvark mini but I had him for ages & now he seemed like the perfect choice for an alien villain. Thanks for your comments. I usually dislike matchbox etc vehicles in 15mm….but I like those very much. Great job on those lawmen. |

'Very difficult to make a narrow brim in 15mm though.' Maybe start with a paper punch cut piece of thin styrene? I was about to say 'donut made with two different sized punches,' but you don't have to fit it ON the head. ;->= Doug |

I agree! Making thin brims on 15mm can be tough.

Hi DSG, I think I have 4 of those awesome figures. I didn't know they were sold as part of a set. I love that girl in the long coat. I also have them with masks: link Your figures always have such amazing detail. Dan |

Those sombreros look great Dan.Must do some someday. Dk Str , I got those when I got the Parmas ( you still need to tell me how they came out pls) Doug – on those sizes, punches will break washers ( i gave up trying to do them in styrene) i used melted plastic sprue for the hat with very good results. Here are the pics as requested
Gzg are 18mm & Dkstr are true 15mm. The Dkstr females have lovely faces which considering their size shows the skill of the sculptor. I used a thicker base so as to use them as frontier juveniles with the GZG armed civilians shown. They look good together. This should help Doug. Z |
