Hi friends and sorry for my questions on DH:Point Black, perhaps these questions are just read in other topics, but I see the rules of Iron Ivan only these last days. I like play with the last production in 54mm of action toys TSSD and Mars for the Vietnam war and the skirmish is a good solution for this scale. Many messages in many blog around in Web speak of this serie of wargames, can I ask you if I can beginning to play with DH:Point Black, without buy Disposable Heroes II? Have I need of any other Expansions for my battles? Is there any gamers like test 54mm with these rules? Thanks for your help, Massimo can I use the square stands for my figures or I must use round stands? |

Massimo, you can use whatever stands you like. You will also need The Long Road South rule set to run Vietnam War games. I haven't played DH: Point Blank, so I don't know if you need the basic DH rules or not. Ask Keith Stine or Chal. They will know, but I don't think you do. Have fun! |

Hello, As the original author of Point Blank, I can hopefully answer some questions for you. You don't need to own Disposable Heroes II to play. That is a separate system for platoon games, whereas Point Blank is squads. Point Blank comes with lists for Vietnam, so you should be able to play right from that book. The Long Road South, the old Iron Ivan book for Vietnam might have some useful information in it, but it wouldn't be necessary. I've never played Point Blank with 54mm miniatures, but it sounds like fun! The rules should work just as well for that scale as any other skirmish scale. My only suggestion might be too double the ranges if you're playing on a big table. Hope you like Point Blank. It was a favorite project of mine and I'm glad to hear someone might be playing it :) |

Ciao and thank you for your answers, they are very useful to plan the next purchase of the settlement (it's not that simple to order wargames in America since we do not have the possibility to find this material in Italy) and, since I got the answers also from Author, I can add that I would like to order with DH:Point Black also "This very ground", another skirmish I've heard very well. Of course I do not know what relationship you have with toy soldiers in 54mm but the most recent production TSSD on the war in VietNam is quite remarkable, and also can count on buildings, hills and scenery (for sale in TSSD Catalog there is the diorama of a helicopter crash Which alone can become the basis for a mission of recovery in enemy territory … Another expansion I've seen is also "Seek Out Close With and Destroy" What does it contain? Thanks again Peter and Keith for the help, It is really very much appreciated. Massimo |

Massimo, "Seek Out Close With and Destroy" is a post WW2 era supplement for the original Disposable Heroes.Contains additional rules and list for the Falklands and Somalia. |

Thanks for these news, I can buy PDF of DH:Point Blank,The Long Road South rules for Vietnam War and This Very Ground (Yes, I know this last is not on Vietnam but for my FIW). Now I must only paint a great number of good toy soldiers of Mars and TSSD but it's so fun! I return here for the news on my work. Thanks again, friends! |
