We played the 1st scenario of the campaign. A 500 point patol scenario. link The Brandenburgers should be disguised but the rules suggest that this does not work when using assualt boats so most the Germans are in regular infantry uniforms.
The Brandenburger demolition units are new as are the boat rules. I could not justfy buying and storing boats for the few times that they might be used. There are rules for several Heath-Robinson and obsolute equipment pieces in the book but most perform so poorly that they are unlikely to be put on the table. I am hoping to work through the campaign with buying as little new stuff as possible. |

Look for thin, narrow, styrofoam trays, like those used to sell fresh produce and meats. Eat the goodies, then wash and dry the packaging trays. Spray paint them dark grey, dark brown, or khaki. They make convincing landing boats / barges. The larger ones can be used for landing craft too. If you get real ambitious, you can add various bits to them: wheel houses, decking, flags, etc. But for one-off games they will do -- and need not be kept if storage is an issue. |
