Trying to find some sources for American support aircraft used during the Banana Wars, in either 1/100th or 1/144th scale. I am not even sure of what aircraft that might be. Well, found some info on WikiPedia. link Anyway, still need to find some makers of American interwar aircraft, beyond Arctic Skunk as most of his list is for the Chaco War. |

You want the Vought O2U Corsair, but I don't think yu will find one in other than 1/72nd scale. Ages ago, I built a pair of them from vacuum form kits, an ordeal I will never forget. |

Try Shapeways and some of the specialised 1/144 model aircraft sites. This site is good, but you do need to look around and check out the forum, kampfgruppe144.blogspot.com.au |

Also, we at Minairons have the Grumman FF1-GE23 at both 1/100 and 1/144. Kits are resin with a few white metal parts. Canopies are translucent resin, and both scales kit includes a decals sheet with pre-war US, British (Canadian) and SCW Republican markings. Lluís minairons.eu |

Kampfflieger Models on Shapeways makes the Curtiss A-8 and A-12 in 1/144; these are '30s vintage planes but you might be able to fit them in. Arctic Skunk, also on Shapeways, does a Curtiss Hawk II and Curtiss F8C Helldiver in 1/144. I have a Vought O2U Corsair in 1/144 which I think also came from the Skunk although I'm having trouble finding it on Shapeways. LT |

Lluis – While I LOVE that Grumman, I can't seem to find its use in the Caribbean. Seemingly it went into service in 1934, so perhaps a tad too late. Brass – I'll have to check into the Hawk II, F8C, and the O2U to see if they fit as Marine support. Not sure about those A type Curtisses either, but you are given me some direction to search…thanks! Nick – Yeah, an O2U might be ideal! Except no one makes one in 1/100 or 1/144. Well, at least I am getting some direction…thanks all!! |

Airalex has a few choices. Resin & white metal. Castings can be a little rough. link |

walk – That link leads me to a 1/285th O2U, I do not see any 1/144th scale offering. Kevin – I do not see any interwar aircraft, but I could easily be missing it as that website is…aye yi yi! Wait, I think I found some sort of Golden Age of flight section. |

Furuta Choco Eggs did a series of planes which included Grumman F3F-2 Curtiss BF2C Goshawk (Chinese paint scheme) Curtiss P-6 Hawk There is a full list here: auction Most are somewhere between 1:100 and 1:144 for single seat aircraft and 1:200-1:300 for larger craft. Sadly out of production for a while, so prices are now getting silly. Otherwise, you are looking at shapeways. |

If you Google 1/144 O2U it throws up Shapeways, but it's drawing on bits of data. Shapeways have the O2U in 1/285, but the S03C in 1/144. The S03C was introduced in 1094 so too late for your project. |

Scored some Grumman F3Fs…not ideal, but they will have to do: link
