Okay, I haven't had time to do a lot of reading on each of the major leaders/generals. It does seem to me though that in this period, like others certain leaders had a particular style or personal preference on how they conducted battles and campaigns.
For example it seems to me that Napoleon always preferred to be on the attack and maneuver if possible. I know that Wellington and Mikhail Kutuzov used a defensive stance at waterloo, Borodino BUT did they prefer a style of trying to force the enemy to attack on ground of their choosing, even when on the offence or were these more of exceptions. What about Blucher and Charles?
So, has anyone that has done some more reading noticed if these men of the time showed certain "habits" in how they went about winning? Hope I am making sense here what I am asking? Thanks.

This does not look like a 40K question.

Wellington fought far more offensive than defensive battles.

Blucher didn't mind how he fought as long as he got routed.

Every 'player' attempted to use the terrain to their benefit, particularly if they were on the defense. Spain was different terrain than central Europe than Russia or Italy.

Creed prefers outflanking the enemy with superheavy tanks.

CREEEEED!
