I will be traveling from Heathrow to Shropshire a couple Friday's from now and wanted to know if there are any wargame shops worth making a slight detour for along the way. I am not interested in Fantasy or Games Workshop, but any other recommendations would be appreciated. |

If you can go via the M1 instead of the M40 then there are more options. battlefieldhobbies.co.uk Battlefield Hobbies is pretty near the M1 at Daventry. If you can go on a bit of a detour, Spirit Games is in Burton, not too far off the M42 or A38 which are options for heading from the M1 towards Shrewsbury. If you can go even more off route, Caliver are in Nottingham (and that will put Spirit Games even more en route). Foundry is also doable from there but it is quite a schlep cross-country now they have moved to a rural location. If you go M40 then it isn't too far off route to go to Evesham for Gripping Beast.
