I am sure I am missing something in the rulebook but I am having a hard time determining what the rules are for baggage in Hail Caesar. How do you determine what your baggage should be in your army list? I can't find it anywhere. |

It seems that baggage is scenario driven and not required in the basic rules. Wagons and baggage are described on page 92 of the rules. They open with the line "these are the kind of values we'd give to baggage units, although it is rare of them to anywhere near the fighting in most situations". I have never used them in my games to date. |

Baggage is generally a rather DBX-ish concept… |

Mobile baggage makes for a great scenario though; I find myself humming "three wheels on my wagon." :-) |

Thanks everyone. What threw me off what the picture of the Roman army with the big baggage command at the beginning of the book. I am putting armies together now and wanted to make sure I didn't need a pile of baggage to play the game. |

That being said, in-game baggage does provide an incentive for outflanking and "cutting off" the opposing force beyond just aiming for attacks on their flanks and rear. |
