Hi folks, here's a brand new product from Take Cover Scenics. It's a flexible field complex, specifically designed for 6mm – 10mm gaming.

The piece measures 9" x 10.5" (approx 23cm x 26.5cm) and is based on the same material as my flexible roads – it's highly resistant to warping and will also follow any gentle contours on your games table. Please note – it's not designed to bend in half!

As you'll see from the photos, the field complex actually contains 3 fields – one large grassy pasture, one smaller ploughed field with sprouting crops, and another smaller field that could be used a field or orchard. It would also be a great spot to place a farm building or two.

There's also a dirt track running from one end of the piece to the other (complete with wheel ruts and tank tracks) and it also contains more than 3 feet of attached bocage-style hedgerows.

As with all my scenery, it comes fully modelled, painted, flocked and ready for your games table. The 6mm tanks in the photos give you an idea of scale.

Please get in touch if you want to know more. I'm available on facebook as Take Cover Scenics, or feel free to visit the website:

Lovely

Is the tank 6mm or 10mm?

Beautifully done! thumbs up

Thanks guys.

Shedman – the tanks are 6mm.

Very nice indeed – it will be perfect if also for a 15-20mm scale

A+

Thanks fellers.

Faustnik – this one's 6-10mm because of the size of the hedges. I've already got plans to build a 15mm version simply with larger hedges.

Great work. I might just have to put in an order before long.

Have you thought about offering a flocked/static grass battlemat? It's hard to find one these days.

Great idea!

Hi Anthropicus – if I did it, and I really do mean if, rather than when, are you talking about a flocked mat with different layers of flock, grass, broken ground, etc that you'd then lay separate roads and other terrain pieces on? Or do you mean something where dirt roads and tracks are also modelled on, so all you then need to add are buildings, hedges, walls, etc?

Thanks for the idea – I will investigate doing it, but need to clear a backlog of orders first – oh, and then there's a 6mm Villers Bocage commission that I need to start working on!

Cheers, John.

John, thanks for the reply! Understood, and I meant the former. Even something simple like mixtures of grass on a 6'x4' backing would be really great to have.

Thanks for that. Will give it some serious thought.
