I'm about to paint a Perry 6pdr "wurst" gun and crew.

The few pictures I could find online suggest the leather-covered crew seat was left in place on the gun when firing. Is this correct? Or was it lifted off?

With no recoil integral to the gun itself, there was no reason to remove the seat. So yes, the seat remained on during firing.

Hell's bells, that was quick.

Thank you.

This should be a good illustration of the guns in action with Smola at Neerwinden
