I have seen it noted that the Mountain Indians differed significantly in appearance from their lowland contemporaries.

I am aware of two manufacturers that make specific Mountain Indian figures – Tabletop and Xyston.

The Table top figures do not appear to have a major difference in appearance to their counterparts while Xyston's do.

So, are the Xyston figures (more) historically accurate?

If so, are they reasonably close to 15mm or nearer the 20mm of the Greek peltasts that I have of theirs (next to my Xyston Thebans they look like NBA players)?

For the time being I will use some Minifigs figures for my Mountain Indian armies (without getting too elaborate with the finishing on the bases), but at some point will be looking to get more historically accurate figures.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Xyston's figures are based on the short-haired jacketed Indian guardsman from Bharhut whom I suggested in AMPW might be a "Mountain Indian". I think they're 18mm or so, not sure.

You might try Khurasan miniatures…

Nice line of Indians and they are closer to 15mm.

I think Khurasan's lack the distinctive dress Gurkhan refers to.

Th Xyston figures are a touch bigger than, say, their Persians but are not as big as the Romans or, even worse, the first of the thureophoroi figures they did.

So you were the culprit Gurkhan.

If those Xyston are no bigger than OG15s I can live with it.

Those psiloi though fit better with AB/Battle Honors Greeks than the old Xyston lines.
