This has, so far, been very entertaining, and more than a little enlightening about the status of the Royal Navy in the 1970s (much better than I had expected).

As an aside it has made me enormously nostalgic about popular culture in the 70s.

That's my spare time viewing sorted for the next few days.

Good old Ark, wish we had her at the Falklands.

Watching it now, well spotted.

I saw it in a re-run, I think. Still many years ago. I was trying to paint up some Phantoms and Bucaneers in1:600. I must get back to that. Must rewatch this too.

Interesting, it has the makings of an early reality show when they talk to the crewmen. Unfortunately I'm not very interested in the majority of the show where they show the bridge for 20 minutes with little to no explanation for the uniformed.

Surely the uniformed are more than adequately informed and it's the ununiformed who need the explanation.

The way the government of the UK treats defence capabilities is a disgrace. The navy in particular, though by no means on their own.

Ha! Looks like I should have proofread that one last time :)

That takes me back. I remember watching the series when it was first broadcast.
