Hello, all, A shot from the report on a game I put on inspired by the Battle of Dybbol, 1848, in the 1st Schleswig-Holstein War:
I used a variant of the Volley and Bayonet alternate (Battalion) scale rules. A Full report is on my blog for the curious: link Best, Ed M |

Very impressive! The First and Second Sleswig/Schleswig-Holstein Wars are generally little known amongst the wargaming community, and it is nice to see them being wargamed. |

Nice looking game and it's good to see this war getting some miniatures action. |

Great Job! We also game the Schleswig Wars (2nd) Omaha/Nebraska. Love your paint jobs.I love the Northstar figures. My minis are a mix of Northstar-Eureka-Waterloo -Mons and Battlehonours, "Up Ewig ungedelt" We shall never be divided. |

Thanks, gents. I'll be making some adjustments and running this game again with our club in a week. If I don't get too distracted in the event, I hope to come away with enough material for a follow up report. Best, Ed M |

I really like, what you have done with different miniatures to paint them for the first SH war (but i am missing danes in the old uniform, that was probably used in 1848). It looks very good. And the whole battle seems to have worked. Gratulation. |

Thanks, Decebalus, Yes, I thought about the red uniform with shako, but i the end I went with something a bit less Naploenoic and a bit more mid century, but still with color: the transitional Danish infantry uniform with the light blue hat and the red straps: TMP link |
