I'm new to this period but have just picked up some lovely Perry light infantry with oval shields. Unfortunately I can't find any suitable transfers for the shields, which I know could be very ornate, and quite a stretch to paint! Is anyone aware of anything that might do? |

Alternatively, you could make your own decals. I have been collecting images of oval and round shields for 15th century Italian foot and have a "roughed out" sets of various shield patterns directly from actual historical sources. I plan to print them out on printer decal paper. If interested in seeing my efforts, drop me an email at: Condottieri1023 AT Yahoo.com Thanks, John |
