I decided to include some of the new AOS Orruks in my Warhammer O & G army. I absolutely love the Gore Gruntas sculpts. Despite common belief and myth, the AOS Orruks are not 32mm, they are very much 28mm. The Gore Gruntas are essentially 28mm orcs riding on giant boars. They are very comparable in size to the Ogre Kingdoms Mournfang Cavalry, which also use 50 x 100mm bases. I used plastic 50 x 100mm bases for each model, the typical size for monster cavalry of this scale. They come with the AOS oval bases so of course you have to either make your own bases or buy them separately. I made a unit of six which feels about right for use on a 4 x 6 board. It could be bumped up to a unit of 8 or 10 I suppose, but beyond that it might become unwieldy. Here's some pictures of the completed unit. They rank up very well in both a single rank and as a double rank/column of cavalry: link link link link |

Those look great like that. I think they will work perfectly for what you are using them for. They are pretty cool models aren't they. |

Thanks for the compliment! I've seen so many great and amazingly painted AOS miniatures in your battle reports that I had to finally get some for my Warhammer armies. I really do love the Gore Gruntas, they're are great scultps and I love the fact that their boars are the size of horses. It them perfect monster cavalry. I totally agree, very cool models. |
