Looks like their Confederate battle flag may have ground and bar colors swapped. Should be red flag with blue bars. Chris |

That flag is probably correct for that unit. I don't have my books with me but I am sure I have seen it before. Some of these reenactors do a great job researching uniforms, weapons and flags. Keep in mind there was no standards for CS battle flags. A CS regiment could be carrying one of a variety of flags. |

Yes, that is a LeMat revolver, or a reproduction of one. The red "Confederate flag" did not come to the Rebels in Mississippi until 1864. IIRC, the red cross on a blue field was used by regiments that had been in Polk's corps of the Army of Mississippi, but it was usually an upright cross, not an X cross. |

The Confederate battle flag with a blue St. Andrew's cross on a red field first turned up in the west in 1862 just before the Battle of Shiloh. Go to the link below on "The Cassidy / Army of Northern Virginia Style Battle Flag" for details. link |

Yes, looks like a Polk's Corps flag. The red bars aren't on the corners. |
