For the world of tanks crowd.

No one who has ever heard me sing would encourage it.

Since the restraining order, our club has stopped singing entirely.

We tried it once – "Oh, oh, oh, what a lovely war!" sung by 5 of us after a good days gaming, but then the wives appeared and demanded silence as they were watching something Austen in the other room and we were upsetting them.

Never tried it again. Lysistrata has powers we cannot beat.

Yes and sipping schnapps.

Well AFVs make a lot of noise … don't think you could hear any singing. Unless over the radio. Of course there is Oddball's tactic used in Kelly's Heroes … wink

I've whistled a few numbers myself while playing, such as the aforementioned "Panzerlied","Katyusha","Dogface Soldier", "Col. Bogey",etc.

No, but sometimes I hum 'Panzerlied' if the context is right:

Given the musical abilities of our group I would discourage that sort of thing

'Tanks… for the memories…'

"Panzerlied" and "Erica" are incredibly catchy albeit the marching songs of bad dudes ( the SS to be specific).

In more wistful moments , " Lili Marlene".

Not a tanker song but the Legion's "Let Boudin" can be an earworm.

Our group prefers singing Klingon operas

Let's not forget how popular "Lily Marlene" was too …

cosmicbank07 May 2017 4:41 p.m. PST

it took us forever to get the Guys to quit making tank noises

If you happen to have a young soprano you can sing Hanschen klein.Otherwise you have to resort to using vice like grip on your anatomy like we do.

Lili Marlene was popular in both wars to soldiers on both sides

Yes, I read that too. Both Wars and both sides.
