I'm in Hobart and my hobby store options are GW, Army Painter (at a significant markup) and the model kit lines (Testors, Humbrol etc.) Any suggestions for good mail order for other ranges such as Vallejo? Don't much care if the supplier is Australian or overseas. Mighty Ape seems like they may be okay (individual Vallejo pots at AUD$4.99 with a flat AUD$4.99 postage, so a big order, or throwing a few pots into another order is fair). I've had bad experience from Wayland Games – and their postage charges for individual pots are weird. |

Mighty Ape are good. Combat Company is another good one too. |

Metro Hobbies has a good range of paint and supplies, and will ship as well. metrohobbies.com.au |

Thanks, one and all! For bulk orders it still looks like the best options for me are mail order from the UK. Warlord Games sells individual Vallejo pots at £2.35 GBP and they have free postage on orders of £50.00 GBP or more (but the £15.00 GBP flat rate for smaller orders means I'll not be ordering a casual pot or two from there!) Pat, most of your links are good but MilSims seems to have stopped stocking Vallejo now. The only item there I could find were a Polish paint set, though they do stock the Flames of War sets, which I understand are repackaged Vallejo anyway. I hate the cutesey rifle bullet pot design, but they seem okay value, especially with the main colours in 20ml pots. |

milsims website is a "bit" funny. when the new owner took over he seems to have just turned the site on and left anything he could order in there. without an "in stock" sort function its a nightmare to find stuff they actually have. ive been to the physical warehouse and they do have many items on hand. but the website sucks. |

Yeah, that'll count them out from my perspective then. Sucky website = not worth my bother. If I could get to their warehouse, I could get to Mind Games or Metro Hobbies anyway. |
