I got a few samples of the Redline figures last year and I really like them, nicely sculpted and well proportioned, but Si still seems to be having problems with his website, so supply seems unreliable. My second choice would be Pendraken, but they do not do the 1808 to 1811 British, so no stovepipe shakos, light cavalry in Tarletons, heavy cavalry in bicornes etc. The Magister Militum range is fairly comprehensive, but figures are a bit chunky. Old Glory infantry are in strips and crudely moulded to my eye and their cavalry horse are rather angular. Not that I am fussy! Any ideas folks? |

At 10mm I can't really say I am that detail oriented. MM are good, but the quality of the Pendraken are more important to me then the correct details. |

How about GHQ 10mm Napoleonics? I have no idea if they have the right figures for 1808 to 1811 as I think they had the Waterloo campaign in mind when they first started making them. But the detail on the figures is very good. |

I have mixed Redline/Bend Sinister with Old Glory British infantry just fine. The Old Glory cavalry I have are actually very nice in 10mm and paint up a charm. I would suggest you reconsider.

Very happy with my Pendraken 7YW, though I realise they're not the same thing. |

Thanks for the comments chaps. Having seen Bandoliers OG cavalry, I think I may go for those, they obviously paint up well, but the infantry are a problem as I am not keen on the strips. GHQ are a bit spindly and fragile and, in UK, are expensive compared to some of the other manufacturers. Daler24D, I think the shako detail is quite a significant one to be honest. Pendraken do a flank company infantry figure in stovepipe, but they have the wings on. I might get a pack and see if the wings can be painted out or filed off. I do like Pendraken- got a lot of their LoA, WSS and WW2 figures and would definitely buy their range if they did the correct figures. |

I much prefer the strips. But you know that. Most of the OG 10s were done by Chris Hughes of Sash and Saber, not someone I associate with crude work. I'd take a closer look. I just post to remind you that the OG horses are bigger than Pendraken, and come with separate riders. They are going to take up a little more space. |

I feel your pain. My 2017 project is late war Prussians and I wanted "stovepipe" British for some of my reserve infantry. Then I found there is a is a gap in the market. For some reasons manufacturers seem to want to give us mostly 1815 British. Well in 10mm they're great for Portuguese but not much good for early Peninsular British. There are currently really only three manufacturers Red Line/Bend Sinister that do nice figures that are true 10mm and Magister Militum that are closer to 12mm. Old Glory 10mm are in between the two and I've grown to loath their 'strips' because of the way in which I choose to base my figures. I'll still buy their artillery, cavalry and generals, but not their foot. Pendraken used to have an "Old Line" (Starfort?) that was dropped a couple of years ago. The current offering from Leon is only, you guessed it – tombstone fronted shakes. AiM used to do a great line but Tom Dyer hasn't been in a position to restart production following some problems years back. How about GHQ 10mm Napoleonics? Nope. Not only don't I like the metal used by GHQ – their range only covers part of 1815. |

Hafen von S- basing my comments on " crude" nature of OG infantry on pictures I have seen on Ebay. Not seen them in " the lead", but I do have some of the WSS strips, which I will only use as second rank behind Pendraken sculpts, as they are not as well sculpted. Can you point me towards good images of the OG British infantry? |

There are some on the OG US site, but only the late British, I'm afraid. And they aren't particularly clear: link link The UK site is worse--no pics at all that I could find, except one in their gallery, which is of little use--and they don't even list the Waterloo line!
A Google search for images might turn some up. I haven't had much luck. BTW--another little nudge--we'd still like to see some pics of your WSS. I finally "exposed myself": TMP link Now it's your turn! : ) |

I'll give it a go! Think I can get a link to my Google Drive or One Drive. It really is time that direct photo upload was available on TMP. I use Facebook and a couple of forums- just upload directly from my iPad on them. |

I used TinyPics, based on the advice and instructions Condotta gave. So simple even I could do it! I posted the TMP link on the page I linked to above. Loaded them from my phone gallery. Apparently, direct upload to TMP would use up too much bandwidth. |
