Photos and After Action Report of the 16-player, 17-table Regimental Snappy Nappy (a variant by Dan where the basic infantry and cavalry unit is a regt, not brigade) 1809 Italian Campaign-in-a-Day at SnapCon III, held at The Portal in Manchester, CT last week.

We had several new players this time. One of the nicest comments was from one who later e-mailed that in his 40 years of Napoleonic gaming, this was the first time he experienced the fog of war of NOT knowing the battle as a whole and the tension of what COULD be heading his way…

Here's the link to Peter's blog at the start of the game:

You'll also find previous SnapCon AARs/photos on his blog.

If you are interested, Alan runs a great Yahoo group that has the quick reference sheets in the files section. You'll also find a Regt SN Battle of Raab scenario and OB there too, plus lots more. Visit, join, and enjoy.

Special thanks to Dan for organizing, providing troops and terrain, and umpiring. Thanks to Peter, James, and Greg for terrain (really, 17 tables of 4x6 feet take a lot of terrain!) and set up.

I am looking forward to next year…
