A week ago our gaming group ran the battle of Agnadello (in 15mm) from early in the Great Italian Wars. We used Vows of Iron which are a medieval set, but they worked really well for early renaissance. We made only a couple of modifications to cover pike and sword/buckler units. The changed the battle in that the main body of the Venitian army under Pitigliono comes back to stand with the rear guard vs. the French army. We had 59 units on the table and played the game in right at 3 hours with 6 players. My friend Pat Pursley ran the game which turned into a rout of we poor Venitians!! link link link link link link |
