I am working on a long term project for Sikh Wars, using a number of manufacturers. The new Indian Mutiny releases of cavalry will, I think, be perfect for Sikh Wars. each pack has a guidon bearer, not seen this before for east india cavalry, does anyone do flags? Also the irregular cavalry all have swords, all the pictures I have seen give them lances as the for runner of the Bengal lancers, is that right or wrong? Appreciate any thoughts. |

Actually the new Iron Duke cavalry sets are just the first releases.Later this year 'support packs' will be available with just sowars. Check out the Iron Duke website for further info but somewhere it is mentioned that some of these support packs will be lancers as apparently they were thus armed in the Indian Mutiny as well. Flags will surely become available later as well. I have the ID infantry flags and they are excellent. For what it is worth the Studio Miniatures figures for the Sikh and Afghan Wars are superb and match the Iron Duke ones perfectly. I did everything in reverse and used some of these for the Indian Mutiny. |
