Last week I visited Warhammer World in Nottingham. It had been 3 years since I last stopped by and there were quite a few changes. Warhammer was replaced by Age of Sigmar. the restaurant expanded, and everything got a shiny makeover. I spent about 100 pounds on this and that and another 30 on lunch for 2. When I wanted to see the display room, I was told it is now 4 rooms. Wow. And to get in would cost me 7.50. NO. I had just spent over a hundred pounds and their display cases are filled with product they manufacture and painted by people in their employ, supported by money from sales (like my purchases that day). Furthermore, the finished minis are there to entice people to buy their product. I love their stuff and their fluff, I can't wait for 8th edition, and the food was good. But I just did not feel like paying to watch a commercial. I don't know. I may be wrong, but it just didn't sit right. So I left. That is all, thanks for reading. |

I live in Oakham about 30 miles from Nottingham and have taken my boys a few times. I do not mind paying to see the display rooms because they are very impressive and much larger than the old display room. Michael |

Paying to see a display is an interesting concept, I have to say. Perhaps if they charged to view and issued a voucher valued at the same amount so that – if you went back into the shop afterwards and spent a fixed sum (say double the cost of the voucher), you could redeem it for half the spend and get the entrance fee back? To get you to buy more stuff?? Still, what do I know… John T |

I would have felt the same way … and let them know! They can't make that much money on it, and it generates negative feelings instead of enthusiasm – not a great sales strategy. |

seems like you should get in for free after a purchase of X amount… like 100 pounds. (actually 50 should be fine). |

My mind is blown that they have a restaurant. What other game company has such a thing, let alone a store dedicated to nothing but their own product! How wacky. |

Not a fan of the charging customers to look at the display room. The store receipt should be a free pass into the room. However for browsers, it would be considered a museum. So charge them. |

Seems like a display are should help entice people to buy more and show what "they" can do with their models. Then again as long as the GW customers continue to fund it – more profit – so why not? |

Most museums in the UK are free to enter, certainly in Scotland. |
