Hello,

I'm hoping someone may assist in the above subject as to where this vehicle saw service. From what I understand so far the vehicle saw service in Russia and Sicily. Was the Spa TM40 in the Western Desert at all? I suspect it was in Italy and the Balkans for a short time before being acquired by the Germans.

Appreciate any assistance.

Try these:

This Italian site says it entered service in 1942, so Tunisia for earliest:

Same data on Italian Wiki.

No it didn't make it to the desert, or Tunisia, but the Fiat-SPA TL37 did. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TL.37
The TM40 was a heavier development of the TL37. I don't believe the TM40 served in Russia either
