I'm in the process of making a nigerian army of the 1970s/1980s. According to their inventory on Wikipedia, they locally produced copies of the AK-47 and both of the FN Fal and the H&K G3 rifles. My question is for infantry, used a mix force of AK and fal/g3 or go with one or the other? I have found pictures of the nigerian army in many UN missions armed with the fal/g3 and the old US ww2 steel pot helmet.

you could find a mix of all ,plus two types of helmets in one unit. They used what they had ,not to mention varied uniform camo or just straight olive drab.i say you cant go wrong.,

Egyptian 15mm figures from the 1967 war would work.

Suggest you look at the Peter Pig AK-47 range. They have a good selection of figures. peterpig.co.uk/ak47.html

Thank you all. I was thinking of mostly using the Ak-47 range from PP with few odd ends from else where.

Maybe another source might come from QRF. Some of the Syrian Army equipment is very similar.

Was thinking of doing a mix of QRFs Canadians slr/germans g3 with AK units from PP AK range. Most of the vehiclesemester coming from QRF

If you need any other weapon packs to expand the Canadians into suitable ranges for things like this do let me know.

I am in the process of adding a few packs (Uzi, Dragon, G3) to widen the usefulness as a generic range

Thanks Geoff, you're the best as always.

Please do let me know which other weapon options you need, or you think would be useful.

I am also looking to add additional weapons packs to the current Cold War German range, which should give us two pretty wide ranges making them suitable for more generic mix and match to cover other ad hoc nations. Again, let me know which packs you would like added to make these suitable for [insert nation].

Eg would you like a pack of these 'Canadian' infantry armed with AK47?
