Very inspiring, up next I'm going back to Gettysburg- Napoleoic style. I build my game board as close to scale and terrain as best I can but use my Napoleoic troops in same numbers as accual Union and Confederate had.

Working on my own McPhersons Ridge. I'm also using the same mat builders. That said, yours is a work of art. Beautiful figures and a beautiful table.

Superb game, outstanding pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Having played Buford in the past, I know how difficult this scenario can be for both sides, especially the Union.
Well done to all the players and to Nashville for his creative commentary.

@Stew art – sounds like a plan.

@47Ronin – yes sir … requires a lot of forethought. Fun scenario though.

Agree – @Nashville – love the meme! :-)

Excellent.

historygamer15 Apr 2018 6:13 p.m. PST

Mat builders?

historygamer17 Apr 2018 8:07 a.m. PST

So know one else seems to know what mat builders are either?

So my next question would be – the game mat seems to be in two pieces. Is this a purpose built game mat for this particular game, or do parts assemble onto a base mat?

Virginia Tory17 Apr 2018 10:13 a.m. PST

Wow! That is beautiful. And what HG said. Would like to know more about the terrain, please!

historygamer18 Apr 2018 7:39 a.m. PST

Also, did I miss what rules you all were using?

historygamer27 Apr 2018 10:55 a.m. PST

Wow, did everyone die here, or what? :-(

Love those fences too bad they don't make them any more

Grossman, bet you've seen Jay's Part 1 article on Wargaming Gettysburg in Wargames Illustrated – Feb. 2019.

(looks like he's working on another best WI article award, now for a consecutive year)
