I've just posted my Photo Report about Salute 2017 on my Blog. As usual I shot far too many pictures but I have managed to trim them down to a mere 250+! My report includes a selection of the best pictures. Salute 2017 Show Report

Many thanks, from those of us who couldn't make it. Doesn't mean I didn't do some 'proxy' spending, via a friend who did. |

Blimey, shows just how big a show it is, I was there and didn't see half the games you've snapped, though I was wandering around in a daze shocked at the scale of it all. Cheers for the pics. |

Some great photo's you have taken at the show. I only saw one 6mm game (the Cold War game) what was the other 6mm game? My wallet is equally light ! Did you see H & R's preview of their new LRDG vehicles ? serious competition for GHQ, also their new range of British WWII Paratroops and vehicles. |

The two 6m games were Battle for Neustadt (cold war/1984 scenario) and Battle of Kalisz (Great Northern War 1706) by Wyre Forest Wargames. I didn't see the LRDG vehicles on H&R. When I visited their stall it was three deep in customers and I couldn't get a clear view. I was going to pop back later and forgot! This years show seemed very busy – certainly the queue was huge – and I struggled to get up to some traders stands. Mind you, it didn't stop me spending a small fortune and I couldn't have carried any more by the time I went home. The only other negative, and something I forgot to mention in my report, was the cost of parking. At £20.00 GBP this is the most expensive car park I have ever been in. The alternative, public transport on the DLR, wouldn't have been much better as it was overloaded all day with thousands of Marathon runners at excel registering for today's race. 'Chaos' is probably the best way to describe the nearest train station, and I have it on good authority it was like that all day long. I only live a few miles from excel and I'm tempted to get a taxi next year! |

Thought I'd also share this picture of the queue before the doors opened.
This was just a portion of the queuing hall which was absolutely packed by 10am. BigLee blmablog.com |

Great photos. An excellent show that seemed busier than last year. I walked to/from Canning Town and had no transport problems as a result (it is not a long walk). It was indeed difficult to get to some stands so I blew my budget and more across PSC, Foundry, Renedra and Pulp. No complaints at all (but for the queue; arriving at 10:20 last year IIRC the queue was negligible, at 10:15 this year I shuffled for 20 minutes. |

'This was just a portion of the queuing hall which was absolutely packed by 10am.' Guy in the yellow, look at his left hand, I'm the one in glasses next to it. |
