Sorry if I missed this. Are OG and FIB compatible. I am assuming Essex and Strategia are smaller and Xystron bigger.

Xyston – Taller and proportionate
OG15 – Taller and Bulky (Especially Romans)
FIB – Average and proportionate
Essex – Average and proportionate
Chariot – Smaller
Corvus Belli – Smaller

Not sure about Strategia

I just bought some FIB and they are shorter and more slender than the Old Glory 15s. I wouldn't mix them in the same unit. Warmodelling (currently unavailable) and Xyston are probably more compatible with Old Glory 15s. Obviously shields and equipment will not be the same sizes and/or shape.

Cavalry the same?

AUXILIAPAL18 Apr 2017 7:59 p.m. PST

cavalry is smaller for FIB and Chariot…

May or may not be useful to you, but here are a couple of comparison shots I took.

W&E, Chariot, Old Glory and Essex Italians.

I noticed next to my Theban hoplites that some of those Xyston psiloi were getting a bit out of hand.

Must say that that Chariot Italian stands out in that group.

I use that Chariot Italian as a Samnite. It's a really nice figure to paint. Having said that, I like all the War and Empire stuff too, although I don't have any Carthaginians. The second kickstarter figures are an improvement on the 1st kickstarter in my opinion, but the 1st kickstarter are nice too, especially the Persians.

Some of the Chariot, especially the Romans look a little awkward but the Italian above looks great in unpainted metal.

Didn't the guy that does the FiB/W&E do the Old Glory figs earlier in his career? I guess they should fit together best?

Henry Martini20 Apr 2017 4:47 p.m. PST

Yes, that's Andy Cooper of West Wind, Edzard.

How about Donnington? How would they fit in with the above ranges? The reason I ask is not for the Punic War per se but to draft them as Trojan allies.

Any thoughts?
