Wow, I love those rooms, and the simple yet effective furniture. Also, it looks like the height of the walls didn't obstruct too much the access to the figures. For a hospital, I would have probably painted the walls a gray color and then toned down a little bit the contrast of the floor tiles. Dan |

That is fantastic. I've wanted to do the same thing for Hospital 911 for a long time, but I'm less skillful than you are. |

Really great work. I agree with Cacique Caribe's on muting the interior colors a bit. |

Great looking set. RE: wall color – I don't know about English hospitals, but here in the U.S. walls are mostly off white to beige with floor tiles about the same. In larger hospitals there may be colored lines running down the center of the hall leading to different departments. I've also noticed bumpers at about gurney height if you wanted to break up the wall a little. |

Yep, that is a lot of work. Inspiring, seriously! I will agree on the US vs. NHS hospitals thing. If I were to do a US hospital, the floors would all be white with stripes. The stripes on US hospital floors are CODE colored, meaning if someone needs to go to ER, follow the red stripe, if someone is going to surgery, follow the blue stripe, that sort of thing. Excellent work. Is it modular? How hard is it to store? |

I had to look up what NHS was. And then I found this picture of one of those U.K. hospitals:
link Now that's what I call a bland color palette! You could always make the walls more off-white (yellowish) to age it up,a bit:
link I think that bland palette could work in your favor too. Not only does it not distract from the figures and the action taking place but, if you wanted to make it really spooky-looking, there's nothing better than an otherwise bright and sterile place looking all stained up dingy and grungy. Gray or mint green, when painted chair-rail height and if properly stained, can look pretty darn super creepy too:

At the same time.. a nice 'perfectly clean' spotless hospital corridor, so calm. BUT.. one problem, not one single sound. "D E A D" silence. "Where is everyone..why is it so quiet?" (then a sound.. is that.. a moan? someone shuffling, as if staggering slowly gettting closer) |

Weren't the black and white tiles once ubiquitous on hospital floors? I have memories of those floors in more than one hospital I've visited or been admitted to. |
