Do you know which of your unpainted figures are the oldest, and have been waiting the longest to feel the touch of your paintbrush?

Dig them out, clean them off, and paint them up in May! And share your successes here on TMP.

As for myself, I am prepping some 15mm Grenadier Dwarves so they can finally get onto the wargaming table! These are 1990s figures! Bob Charrette beauties!

Im an Oldhammer player, so every month is paint something old!

I guess I better break out some tin flats then. ;p

For me, practically every month is 'paint something old' month. Might finish off that unit of 'S' Range Egyptians…

I still have some from the 70's…now if I can find them.

I am old and often manage to spill some pain on myself, so every month is paint something old month for me. 😀

Spoilt for choice. Probably Squats on trikes or old H&R SYW, and I can save the Der Kriegspielers and Airfix Washington's Army for next year.

Oh, darn it, Bill. I retired in November and decided to paint some figures I have been putting off painting for years. …..Wait….I do have a Civil War general fig that I have been putting off. Whew! Everything is OK, now.

May is my lightest work month of the year. So I am certainly getting ready to finish off some projects.

I'm pretty sure I've painted all of my minis from the 70's and 80's. Student budgets kept acquisitions more in trim. The bottom of Lead Mountain dates to the 90's (including many figures manufactured in the 80's).

Spoilt for choice, as everyone else is too. Have to do some digging.

Having picked up a major percentage of my figures on ebay or from the TMP Marketplace, most of my current workload is 'old' lead.

I am painting some 20+ year old Essex knights for my Bannockburn project!

Porthos17 Apr 2017 12:05 p.m. PST

I found SYW Prussians by Hinchliffe, estimated buy around 1980… I have already started to paint them, as a diversion from the World War One (1914) French Army in 15mm !

I could paint up some 54mm Airfix French Old Guard that I keep meaning to sell. My Brother painted the British sometime in the early 1970's.

I started a dwarf only a few years old but never painted but also stripped old paint off a female elf that is one of my original figures from 1981. I guess she is my May deadline.

I have some figures from last year still unpainted.
