Shame on you, Byteknight, for reminding us just how long ago… Oh, and your special effects are head and shoulders over the originals! :D |

Apologies Macross. I have a guilty pleasure in liking the show but I'm embarrassed for Twiki.. biddibiddibiddi Buckaroo, the Shapeway sellers for the thunderfighters and marauders is Starcorps shipyards and 3dModelworks for Hawk's ship. I should caution though, that unlike a lot of other makers on Shapeway, you'll have to drill a hole at the bottom to mount them. The quality for the fighters is okay (White Strong and Flexible) but cheap. For some reason, Hawk's ship is in an uneccessary and expensive frosted detail. |

MacrossMartin Shame on you, Byteknight, for reminding us just how long ago… Oh, and your special effects are head and shoulders over the originals! Agreed!.. on Both 40 YEARs ago omg. Kudo's on the FX touch, really looks cool. I thought the Earth star Ftrs were some of the coolest I had ever seen, and still love'm. Byteknight I have a guilty pleasure in liking the show but I'm embarrassed for Twiki.. biddibiddibiddi Trash Compactors were embarrassed for Twiki. LOL I must admit, when I saw the title, that little 'robo-erchin' was the 1st, ok 2nd thing I thought of. Major Dearing being the first (big smile). Ive often wondered: "Was the part of 'Twiki' someones 'big break', or punishment?" |

Thanks for the kind words.. yeah, Twiki.. 'nuff said. I actually met the actors on the show about 10 years ago when they came to my city for a sci fi convention. Erin Gray was in her fifties, but you could tell she must have been stunning 30 years before. Gil Gerard sold me a DVD box set of the show before the studio made them, that turned out bad. I emailed him, he said to mail it back to him (which I did at my cost) and never heard back. Not really angry, as how many people can say they been backstabbed by Buck Rogers. The nicest guy was the actor playing Twiki, smiling at the convention, seeming glad to be there. |

Erin Grey actually made scifi conventions a thing. A few of her friends said she should go to one, signs some autographs and make a buck or two. She asked who was representing them, they said it was all informal. She asked around and several of the cons said they'd love more organization. So she we the one that stepped forward, got the celebs organized and became the agent for almost all of the scifi stars going to the cons. The cons boomed because all of a sudden most of the stars were showing up. |
