Hey all! Well, after a day or two of work, I finally have a LOT more to share about my newest project… a 15mm Dungeoncrawl which should be a mix of Spacehulk and Talisman, with a bit more depth. So I've gotten working on a TON, and got the miniatures, and there is a lot to see… so please come on by for the first real (and hopefully bug-free) post of this project! Comments and suggestions MOST welcome… this is not in my usually-historical wheelhouse! Thanks! link

Very nicely done. I've been considering doing something similar with the classic D&D module "The Keep on the Borderlands" – which features the Caverns of Chaos, a series of small to medium sized underground lairs for various monsters. There are several excellent choices in 15mm D&D / dungeon crawl lines nowadays, and although there are a lot of individual encounters, no one of them is usually that big. You idea for creating the dungeon tiles is great – I may well steal it if/when that project actually gets off the ground. |

Another quick way to make floor tiles is to get a piece of self-stick floor tile, score your lines with a sharp blade, then ink wash the cuts (overflow outside the lines can be scrubbed off.) Most tiles already have a stone or rock texture, so you save a lot of painting time right there. ;-) You can also carefully break sections apart at the lines to make rooms, etc. An 18x18 tile can make a LOT of dungeon sections. ;-) |
