Lovely figures, and a decent set of Highlanders is long overdue. But – TWO blinking sappers and only ONE colour??

The "only one colour". In the main, sets of 1/72nd Plastics come with three or 4 identical sprues, which, if this was the case with the above, would mean 4 colours and 8 Sappers but apparently Strelets are releasing the sets with infantry sprues but only one Command sprue or with 4 sprues but removing the command figs ..like this one. The command figs have been cut off.

Seems an odd decision, particually with sets like the British Infantry on the March (above) What happens to the 12 "cut off" figs and if they are actually cast along with the soldiery..that would be a waste of plastic.

Very odd, and frustrating – especially if they are destroying them. The extra figures would have been very useful. Perhaps there will be a command set, but for a small number of units it might be easier to go with metal for the extra figures.

The Blinking Colour bearer should be an officer (OK, by mid afternoon on 18th might not be so, I accept) and should not be wearing a kilt…..

Same for the chap with the claymore…but what the heck….

the fun will be to do the Gordon tartan in 1/72 scale.

Do check the link given, rather than relying on the pics above……they show what was intended, rather than what you get on a sprue on purchase…and that off the earlier castings as well…

If the hypothetical command pack contains (be-trousered) officers carrying the colours I might be persuaded to buy it!

The above pics, particually the one from PSR of the British on the march Show exactly what you get at purchase and exactly what Strelets intended.
According to Strelets
the set will have 3 sprues with 12 attacking Scots plus 1 sprue with a command group.
Please, be guided accordingly
