… About Poe Dameron And Laura Dern's Character "With this week's ‘Star Wars Celebration,' there will likely be confirmation one way or another on all of the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘ rumors that have been popping up lately, and we have a new one to add to the mix concerning Poe Dameron and Laura Dern's unknown character! Of course, this is a rumor so can be taken with a grain of salt or leeched onto as you see fit. With a full trailer coming soon, I suspect we'll learn which side of the war Dern will be on though how she'll factor in will likely remain a mystery until the film's release. Not overly sure they can salvage this storyline. On opening people were happy, but the armchair analysis has really taken the new trilogy to task. Add in the ramifications of Rogue One clearly being a better film and it sets the bar really high for Last Jedi to meet. The characters are the weak points imho. |

I loved The Force Awakens and thought the characters were great |

Sadly, I thought that The Force Awakens was "okay" but had far too much of it's story lifted from A New Hope. Too much of the story seemed forced and repetitive. I'm convinced that this is a J.J. Abrams problem since he doesn't really seem to have that many new ideas… |

Viewed the trailer and I'm just not feeling it for this one. According to the armchair analysis it seems that it is a retelling of Empire Strikes Back, if so then unless they really put some serious efforts into character development it will just pale in comparison to Empire. Force Awakens was an above average retelling of A New Hope but is this all the new trilogy is going to be? |
