"While Guillermo del Toro is known to have his hands on too many projects at a time one interesting dream project came up recently – Jabba The Hutt: A Star Wars Story. Don't get excited as this isn't a project that is happening but it would be the one film set in a galaxy far far away that he would love to tackle if he was ever offered it.

When talking about his body of work, the slew of projects in development, and canceled movies the iconic director was asked if he would ever be interested in tackling one in the Star Wars universe. He stressed that there wasn't one on his plate or even being served up to him at this time but had the following little nugget to share…"

I'm not against this concept at all. Actually, given the different flavor of ROUGE ONE and it's view of the SW universe being a success, it's probably a great idea to look at another culture within the greater milieu and the Hutts seem like a fascinating one, even if they bear a solid resemblance to ST's Orion Pirates.

But del Toro isn't exactly bathed in green lights for his pet projects these days.
